Distribution Facility Requirements

SERF awards certification to distribution facilities by evaluating the sustainability of the structure. This includes its energy and water efficiency, low environmental impact on immediate surroundings, reduced transportation needs of building occupants, effective waste management and reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases.  In addition to this, the facility is given credit for efficient operations including operation related energy efficiency and use of innovative methods in material management to increase efficiency of operations and reducing operational time and cost.
